What do a Barbados-born bad girl, a reggae-fusion pop star, and a British rock idol have in common? While the correct answer could have been multiple vacation homes or distinctive accents, the response we were looking for is that Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Sting will all be performing at Sunday's Grammy Awards together. You read that correctly! Announced late yesterday, the unlikely trio will collaborate for a special performance during the night's telecast. Our money's on a mashup of sorts the three do have that mellow, reggae-inspired style that could make some magic when paired together.
The threesome join a growing list of confirmed Grammy performances, including Taylor Swift, the Black Keys, Frank Ocean, Elton John, and Justin Timberlake (singing "Suit & Tie,", perhaps?). Beyoncé has also been added to the telecast as a presenter, a smart move on behalf of the Grammys considering our national obsession with the pop superstar post-Super Bowl.
Watch the 55th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.

about the authors
Kate Schweitzer is the senior web editor of Marie Claire. She loves traveling (even back to her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri ... go Cards!), eating candy, cheating at Scrabble with her husband, and watching basically everything on TV so much so that she is a writer for Chaos Theory and Handsome Town, two web comedy series from Emmy-winning PhoebeTV. Follow her on Twitter @kateschweitzer!
Alyssa Vingan is Marie Claire's web editor. She grew up in Virginia, spent her college years in New Orleans, and upon graduation left the Big Easy for the big city. She continually impresses (worries?) her colleagues with her knowledge of obscure models, compulsive collecting of international fashion magazines, and her undying girl-crush on Abbey Lee Kershaw. Maura Brannigan is Marie Claire's web assistant. A native of the Windy City, she adores live music, grilled cheese, and the perfect pair of patent leather shoes and, when possible, all three at once. If she's not writing about the latest in culture, she's probably watching reruns of SNL, pirouetting in ballet class, or cheering for her favorite Chicago sports teams.
