They're the Balm

Cleaning balms are upstaging foaming liquids, pads, and gel cleansers. These three will make a convert of you.

The current buzzword in the skincare industry is "balm." First, there were BB creams (BB stands for Beauty Balm) and now, balm cleansers are taking center stage. Although not new to the market, they are hydrating, soft on skin, and remove every ounce of makeup. These are my favorites.

REN No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm ($55) — When mixed with water, this balm takes on a rich, milky consistency. Infused with chamomile oil and pink violet leaf extract, it leaves skin soft and radiant, but still packs the power to remove even waterproof mascara.

Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm ($45) — Formulated with essential oils, sage, and rosewood, this cleanser is a treat for your face. Perfect for normal to dry complexions, it eases any tightness and leaves skin feeling supple and hydrated.

Eve Lom Cleanser ($50) — The critically acclaimed Eve Lom is a cult classic, erasing makeup and impurities while exfoliating, brightening, and toning skin. For best results, use with a muslin cloth.
