Take advantage of your endless mane and go for loose, glossy waves. Start by blow-drying well-conditioned hair with a round brush so it looks silky.

Take the sides and back of your hair and roll them up using large hot rollers. Mist with setting spray and take out after only two to three minutes so hair doesn't look too done.

Spray top pieces (that are dried sleek and straight) with a shine spray and pull over and back, loosely. Fasten with a bobby pin and push forward to create some height in front.

HOT ROLLERS like Conair Instant Heat Hair Setters, $21.99.

SHINE SPRAY like Biosilk Shine On, $13.

First, consider a few layers. "The longest styles look even longer right after a good cut that adds movement even if it takes off half an inch," says NYC stylist Ted Gibson.

If you haven't gotten to the stylist yet, use a curling iron and roll two- to three-inch sections halfway up the barrel.

Spritz with hairspray and then pull the curls out so they turn into long, loose waves at the bottom. You'll get the same kind of bouncy look you'd get after a $200 haircut.

CURLING IRON like T3 PRO EverTwirl Curling Iron, $70.

Go movie-star glam — and start with unwashed hair. If it's looking a little greasy, grab some dry shampoo and use a sprinkle on your roots.

Spray the rest of your hair with styling spray and roll halfway up with hot rollers, the bigger the better. Then while they're still warm, spritz with hair spray. Take curlers out immediately.

Make a deep side part and shake hair out so curls loosen. A little mascara and you're good to go.

A super-moisturizing shampoo and conditioner hydrates in the shower so you can use fewer products afterwards.

Generously work a prep spray or style primer through damp hair, to bring out your hair's natural texture and allowing it to air-dry almost perfectly.

Use a little shine serum to fight frizzy ends — the tiniest bit will do the trick.

First, give your hair a good helping of deep treatment and then, hop out for a moment and add a little heat with your blow-dryer.

Get back in the shower and rinse. The heat amps up the benefits of the conditioner considerably.

Then, dry hair on a low heat to maintain the shine. Don't use a brush, expect when you get to the pieces in the front to help shape the waves.

Clip hair back and then loosen by pulling hair out toward the front so you get that loose, '40s pinup look.

Rocker waves are easy if you use the right combination of products. First, work some dry shampoo through your hair, you'll get volume and soak up any greasiness.

Then, use a little texture balm, warm it up in your palms and really work the product into your strands. Too much will actually weigh your style down so less is definitely more here.

Flip hair upside-down and scrunch hair using a spritz of spray gel. You don't want loads of frizz to take your look from sexy to sloppy.

MARIE CLAIRE RECOMMENDS
DRY SHAMPOO like Ojon Rub Out Dry Cleanser, $24.

SPRAY GEL like Frédéric Fekkai Spray Gel, $25.

Show off your layers by bringing out the wave in your hair. Switch to a clarifying shampoo to get rid of product buildup, which can weigh your natural texture down.

Run a conditioning styling cream through your hair and let it air-dry while you get dressed, do your makeup and eat breakfast. Try not to touch your hair while it dries to avoid causing frizz.

MARIE CLAIRE RECOMMENDS
CLARIFYING SHAMPOO like Terax Latte Clarifying Shampoo, $20.

Do your entire head, curling all the way up on one side of the part. Vary how much curl you get on the other side so you leave a bit of super-smooth roots on one side.

Spray your whole head with a setting spray and a bit of shine spray when you're done.

Wash with a protein-spiked shampoo for extra strength and shine.

Use something that will boost shine but won't weigh anything down (like a bit of spray-on leave-in conditioner to prep the hair for heat). Use a round brush for the smoothest blowout. Tip: Blow-dry small sections. It takes longer but looks better.

Put a dab of shine serum on your hands, rub them together and run them over your hair so you end up using just the right amount of product.

A NON-OILY, SUPER-SMOOTHING SHAMPOO makes a difference. Phytobrush Special Smoothing Shampoo for Blow Drying, Anti-Frizz, $24

A BIG ROUND BRUSH holds hair right where you want it while you blow-dry. Conair Round Brush, $7.99.

Get a more rock and roll style (and add volume to fine hair) by only shampooing a few times a week.

Get that messy, edgy texture by spraying your strands with a dry shampoo to sop up excess oil but add lift and texture.

Add the tiniest bit of polish to your look by flat ironing your bangs. "If you take a few minutes to style your bangs, you can get a away with a much messier overall vibe but still look chic," says NYC stylist Ted Gibson.

MARIE CLAIRE RECOMMENDS

Get shiny without making your head look like an oil slick. Start with a shine-boosting shampoo and conditioner. Give your hair a cold-water rinse.

Use a drop of a light straightening product-a quarter-sized dollop for your whole head is enough. With a round brush, dry on a cool setting.

Run a flat iron through your hair. Be warned, this might make super-fine hair look finer so once you've flat-ironed, flip your head over and blast your whole head with the dryer. You'll add a little movement back into your straight, shiny 'do.

MARIE CLAIRE RECOMMENDS
FLAT IRON like Ted Gibson Flat Iron, $225.

SHINE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER like Modern Organic Products Glisten Shampoo, $11.49.

Texture and volume combine to make this look edgy and sexy. Run a texturizing cream through damp hair and roughly blow-dry, shaking your fingers through your strands as you go.

Then, add a little dry shampoo to your bangs so they don't look shiny and have a little extra lift.

Warm up a little light pomade in your hands and define your ends by pulling them out. This will give your style shape.

MARIE CLAIRE RECOMMENDS
