Beloved Glee actor and boyfriend of Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, was found dead this past Saturday at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver at age 31. Monteith, who played heart-throb Finn Hudson, captured viewers' hearts with songs like "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Losing My Religion." Monteith was recognized for adding raw emotion and a layer of vulnerability to his Glee character, making Finn relatable to viewers and beloved by fans.
Monteith was in an onscreen romance with Rachel Berry, played by Lea Michele, later developing into a relationship off-camera. In Marie Claire's January issue, Michele, our cover star, recalled how their bond developed.
Michele later added:
An exceptionally talented actor who added depth and chemistry into his character and Glee as a whole, Monteith will be greatly missed and forever remembered. We express our deepest sympathies to Lea Michele, Monteith's family, and friends.
