We spent our morning glued to the television, watching as President Barack Obama was ceremoniously sworn in as the President of the United States for his second term in Washington, D.C. There wasn't much that could outshine President Obama's moving speech, but his family — First Lady Michelle and the First Daughters Sasha and Malia — came pretty close. FLOTUS stole the spotlight by showing off her chic new bangs (!) in a Thom Browne coat, accented at the waist with a sparkling J. Crew belt. The older of the Obama girls, 14-year-old Malia, also showed J. Crew some love in her magenta coat, while Sasha, 11, opted for a playful purple coat by Kate Spade.
The part of the program we were looking forward to the most was Beyonce's performance of the national anthem, and as expected, she really brought the glamour. She belted out "The Star-Spangled Banner" in a floor-length Pucci gown, Dior shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings.
