Jennifer Lawrence, who became an overnight superstar after she was cast as Katniss in The Hunger Games, has been having quite a year. Already scoring a Golden Globe and SAG award this month for her performance in the highly acclaimed Silver Linings Playbook (with an Best Actress Oscar nomination coming up for February!) it's clear that the off-screen funny girl is a world-class actress.
What we didn't know about Lawrence until last night during her acceptance speech was how she received her Screen Actors Guild card: for a series of My Super Sweet 16 commercials.
"I want to thank MTV," Lawrence remarked at the beginning of her acceptance speech. "I'll explain that. I earned my SAG card when I was 14. I did an MTV promo for My Super Sweet 16. And I remember getting it in the mail and it being the best day of my entire life, because it officially made me a professional actor, which put me in the category with all of you."
We have to admit, we totally remember these circa-2005 commercials and how much we despised that "happy birthday" song. Watch her act like a total brat in her fancy birthday dress below! Oh Jennifer, how far you've come.
