Nicholas Hoult Opines on What Makes Jennifer Lawrence 'Special'

Share

Let's get right to it: modern American goddess Jennifer Lawrence is amazing and famous and beautiful and she farts J'Adore Dior, plus she's just as hilarious and normal as the rest of us. "But that's probably an act," you convince yourself while crying over the JLaw-esque pixie haircut you just got that does not flatter your face shape. "She's probably a total diva witch in real life."

NOT SO! In the latest issue of V-Man, cover star and JLaw boyfriend Nicholas Hoult explains that Lawrence really is the majestic orchid we all knew, deep down inside, that she was (via Just Jared.)

Hoult, who started dating Lawrence in 2011 before either The Hunger Games or Silver Linings Playbook was released, says, "The privacy thing obviously changes, but the rest pretty much stays the same. It's like that thing whereby you don't believe your own hype. Enjoy the good times, but don't get swept away with it. I think that's something she's capable of doing, and that's what makes her special, but yeah, it is very odd, and I am just kind of a bystander in many ways. It is well deserved for her. I haven't really seen any change in her."

Awww. The two met on the set of X-Men: First Class and worked together again recently on X-Men: Days of Future Past. Hoult, a total smokeshow in his own right, is not blind to to the fact that he has been blessed with the honor of hanging out with JLaw:

"It’s fun because in this business you are away from one another for long periods of time, so when you’re on set together it’s a brilliant thing, because you actually get to spend time together," he says. "Especially with this film, I got to spend time with her, but also the rest of the cast who I’ve worked with on the previous film, so it was kind of like going back to school after the break and seeing all your old mates again. Which is a great thing. It doesn’t really affect the acting though.”

Sure it doesn't, Nicholas. *Mimes makeout session with kissy noises.*
