What better way to kick off New York Fashion Week than with a seriously lovely soiree? To celebrate the launch of Target's latest designer collaboration with Prabal Gurung, the old-fashioned carnival may just be the party of the season, and it's really only just begun.
And no pre-NYFW party is complete without some stylish celebs: Prabal pals Carey Mulligan, Rashida Jones, and Elizabeth Olsen showed up wearing their favorite designs from the line, which has been talked up to Missoni-level sell-out proportions.
From carousel rides to women on stilts to mini-corndogs and cotton candy, this love-themed circus — which convened last night at Manhattan's Pier 57 — featured New York's finest food trucks (empanadas and dumplings, anyone?), quirky carnival games with Target gift card prizes, and a performance by Ne-Yo. Oh, did we forget? It also offered attendees the chance to shop the collection before it hits stores and online on Feb. 10. Minor detail.
