Ferragamo Celebrates "Signorina"

Now, that's how you throw a party! In honor of its new fragrance, Signorina, Salvatore Ferragamo hosted a celebrity-studded bash in downtown Manhattan for guests such as Emma Roberts (who wore Ferragamo), Carmen Kass and Piper Perabo. Coco Sumner — the daughter of music royalty, Sting, and Trudie Styler — and her band, I Blame Coco, made their US debut at the event.

Sumner told Marie Claire exclusively, "It's great to perform at the Ferragamo event for my first U.S. performance — New York is home to me and it's awesome to be back here playing live as I Blame Coco."

But perhaps the stars of the show were the ladies of Signorina, which means "young woman" in Italian. The face of the fragrance, Italian model Bianca Balti, hosted the bash, and will chronicle her daily life on Ferragamo's new digital initiative, The Girls About Town. Starting Monday, Balti will be joined by Alexandra Richards, Theodora Richards, Lauren Remington-Platt, and Rachel Chandler-Guinness, each of whom will contribute video, photographic, and textual content focused upon her girl-about-town lifestyle.

As for the perfume itself, look out for notes of currant, pink pepper, jasmine, rose, peony, patchouli, and musk, which combine to create a fresh, cheeky and sophisticated signature scent.

Alyssa

Alyssa Vingan is Marie Claire's web editor. She grew up in Virginia, spent her college years in New Orleans, and upon graduation left the Big Easy for the big city. Maura

Maura Brannigan is Marie Claire's web assistant. A native of the Windy City, she adores live music, grilled cheese, and the perfect pair of patent leather shoes — and, when possible, all three at once. If she's not writing about the latest in culture, she's probably watching reruns of SNL, pirouetting in ballet class, or cheering for her favorite Chicago sports teams. Follow her on Twitter @maura_brannigan!
