If ever there is a Fashion Hall of Fame, an entire wing could be dedicated to Sarah Jessica Parker. All the big names would be there: Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Cavalli, Fendi, Michael Kors, Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana. Just as they were, carefully arranged on seven clothing racks, at our cover shoot. Based on their squeals, it was hard to tell who loved the clothes more SJP or her twin daughters, who stopped by our NYC set to offer Mom some styling tips.

While the 2-year-olds favored over-the-top frills and sparkles, MC's contributing editor Alison Edmond had a simpler look in mind: easy white tees with edgy skirts and trousers. And the tots witnessed a valuable lesson: In order to be a fashion great, a girl's gotta wear the clothes not let them wear her.
Top, $863, scarf, $371, Nicolas Andreas Taralis; leather leggings, $898, Bird by Juicy Couture; bracelet & ring, Parker's own.
