When Taylor Swift dropped her album Reputation last week, she gave the entire Internet plenty to talk about for what feels like the rest of time. Naturally, there's been lots of ~controversy~ and #hottakes.
In the same week, Sam Smith released his second studio album, The Thrill of It All. And let's just say that some people have thoughts concerning these two releases and which one is better. Take, for example, this sassy tweet from user @DonnyV_35.
Funny, great GIF use, but nothing too earth-shattering. Until, as Buzzfeed reports, Sam Smith himself threw the tweet A LIKE.
Sam has since unliked the tweet, but thankfully that's what screenshots are for. Considering Taylor and Sam are friends (she even went as far as to say she thought they'd be friends for life) this feels quite uncomfy.
But this is not the end of the shade saga. Later, someone tweeted their opinion about Taylor's SNL performance.
And Reese Witherspoon LIKED IT (again, according to Buzzfeed).
Reese, how could you?! Taylor serenaded you on your birthday! To be fair, Taylor wasn't hosting SNL—she was a musical guest—so the original Tweet and Reese's like had a point.
Sam Smith went on to tweet a clarification about the incident, but Reese hasn't said anything yet.
