Kylie Jenner Reveals Why Her App Is So Much More Popular Than Kim's

"The difference between our apps is hers is very perfect."

Kim Kardashian might be the queen of Instagram among the Kardashians, but when it comes to the Kardashian/Jenner sisters' new personal apps, Kylie Jenner reigns supreme. Almost from the moment the sisters' apps launched, Kylie's app soared to the top of the pack, with Khloe, Kim, and Kendall falling in line behind her.

In an interview with Time (which just named Kylie one of the 30 most influential teens of 2015), Kylie tried to put her finger on exactly what makes her app the most popular one in her family. It would seem it's all in the approach.

"Kim's older, she has a different fanbase, and she's also — the difference between our apps is hers is very perfect. It's simple, everything is black and white," Jenner said of her sister's much more calculated content strategy. "Mine is more, I invite the cameras over and say, 'Oh, hey, let's just do this.' We do makeup tutorials and I'm laughing and talking. I know my fans are my age or younger than me, so, I just like to show my personality and show my fans my home and my dogs. I get really personal.

"I'm on Snapchat," she continued. "I'm just like them at the end of the day. Kim's more private. She has kids. It's just different."

Kylie's definitely on to something there. Her younger fan base, plus her willingness to share a lot more than Kim probably draws in more users. But just because Kylie has a different approach to her app than Kim doesn't mean she doesn't have major respect for her older sister's business sense.

"Kim is so inspirational and she has the biggest drive," Kylie shared. "She's so dedicated, she's so smart, she's such a businesswoman, and she's always doing something and thinking of new ideas. She has inspired me to have a great work ethic."

Plus, we all know Kylie looks to Kim for style cues.
