Did You Notice This Weird Thing About Monica's Apartment in 'Friends'?

So subtle, yet so wrong.

We can't fault Friends, more or less. Give or take a few weird storylines (The One With The Inappropriate Sister, we're looking at you) and a couple of fake Monicas and Rachels along the way, it's basically perfection.

Well that's what we thought, until the following was brought to our attention by HelloGiggles, and now we're concerned we'll never be able to un-see it.

Monica's apartment barely changes throughout the ten series, because — aside from one brief stint over at Joey and Chandler's following the loss of a bet — she doesn't move. But there's something that DOES change: the scene outside her kitchen window.

Come on, you guys, what about continuity? Take a look at what we mean...

So here's Monica's kitchen, with a view of ... not very much. A brick wall, basically.

Oh wait, now there's a brick wall AND a bit of window? That wasn't there before.

Is there a washing line there now? Or what is that?

And here, it looks like the buildings are lots further away from Monica's apartment than they were previously.

And... the brick wall is back.

Oh yeah, and then right at the end, in the very last episode, it looks like a cardboard wall.

WHAT was going on with that window, Friends-makers?!
