Looking at the Floor Plans of the 'SATC' and 'Girls' Apartments Side-by-Side Is Actually Comical

Fantasy vs. reality.

We all knew the version of New York life presented in Sex and the City was a little...fantastical. Carrie Bradshaw was a freelance journalist who spent thousands a month on clothes and shoes and lived in a most luxurious apartment in the Upper East Side.

Allison Williams, who stars as Marnie Michaels on HBO's Girls, just brought attention to Carrie's ridiculously luxe living space on Instagram by sharing a side-by-side photo comparing Carrie's floor plan to Marnie's, People reports.

You could easily fit three or even four of Marnie's apartment into Carrie's. In fact, you could fit most of Marnie's apartment into Carrie's drool-worthy walk-in closet.

"Carrie Bradshaw's apartment vs. Marnie Michaels' apartment. Holy s*%#! #ShowerInTheKitchen #Girls #BeforeTheWall," Williams captioned the picture.

The picture Williams shared originally accompanied a New York Times article article about fictional New York apartments, ranging from Sex and the City and Girls to Friends and Broad City.

Now, if only we had some visuals comparing Abbi's Broad City apartment to Monica's amazing, rent-controlled place in the West Village.
