I'd more or less given up on Cypress Hill. So, their most recent single caught me off-guard. Partly because it's an uncharacteristically breezy summer jam. And partly because it's a collaboration with Pitbull and Marc Anthony — over a sample from Crosby, Stills & Nash. On paper, the whole idea sounds dubious. But, the execution makes me like each one of the aforementioned folks a little more than I did before.

In keeping with a theme, I've put together a playlist to usher in warmer times. In addition to the usual culprits, you'll find another left-field sample in a track from Scooter, a thinly disguised Will.I.Am kicking it with Steve Aoki, and the sound of a symphony laid over the drums from Rihanna's "Umbrella."
