We Now Know the Reason Behind Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse's Breakup

Just because it makes sense doesn't make it less sad.

Update, 3/20: A source told E! News that the two have broken up because they don't see eye-to-eye on their immediate future—Cooper wants to settle down and have kids, while Waterhouse isn't quite there yet.

"They remain friends but they both want different things right now," the source said. "She loves Bradley and he loves her but she's so young and wants to concentrate on her acting career before becoming a mom."

Original, 3/19: What a sad, sad day—impossibly attractive couple Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse are no more. E! News reports that the actor and his top-model girlfriend called it quits.

Cooper, 40, and Waterhouse, 22, dated for about two years, and they often escorted one another to red carpet events. The two were notoriously private about their relationship. Waterhouse, who has an upcoming role in Insurgent, told Elle UK, "I don't talk about my boyfriend because it's boring. At least, that's what I decided to tell you when you asked."

But because they were so private, it's hard to really know what their relationship was like, or why it ended. Neither of their reps would comment about the breakup to E! News. So let's just reflect about how incredibly attractive they were together.

They were really good at wearing sunglasses:

And they looked especially snappy when they visited the White House last year:

Even when they were purely casual, they were the subject of a million Pinterest boards:

So there's that. Cooper and Waterhouse will likely continue to look fantastic as single people, but it just won't be the same.
