In the immortal words of elementary school kids in the '90s: girls rule, boys drool. Hah, just kidding, boys are fine—but considering we live in a world where sexism is systemic and women get paid less than men, it's always nice when ladies get a little extra love. Which brings us to Ryan Gosling.
Ryan recently made the upgrade from #crush to #hero by telling Evening Standard that as unwanted as the female attention he gets is, "it's our time as men to be on the receiving end of the stick."
"I grew up with women so I've always been aware of it," he continued. "When my mother and I walked to the grocery store, men would circle the block in cars. It was very, very scary, especially as a young boy. Very predatory—a hunt."
But wait, it gets better, so please ready your slow claps: "I think women are better than men. They are stronger, more evolved [edit note: 🙌 ]. You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately."
Ryan Gosling, guys. He just get us, ya know?
