There's pretty much no role that the versatile/gorgeous/witty/awesome Emily Blunt wouldn't be perfect in. So, when we heard she was going to be playing Mary Poppins, who is iconically "practically perfect in every way," the whole world reacted with a collective, "yeah, duh, Emily Blunt IS Mary Poppins."

Blunt is stepping into Poppins' perfectly eccentric shoes for Mary Poppins Returns, which is a sequel to the 1964 classic. According to BuzzFeed, the plot will still center on the Banks family, as Mary returns to town to help with now-grown-up Michael's family, along with the aid of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Jack, a street lamplighter. Yesssssss to everything about that, but especially the fact that Lin-Manuel Miranda will be involved.

Disney has finally released the first glimpse at Blunt in full Poppins gear, via Entertainment Weekly. And even though we can't really see the front of her look in the picture (it's very tease-y), we're already more in love with this casting choice than ever.
