Elin Nordegren celebrated her graduation from college over the weekend and was given the honor of addressing her class during Rollins College's commencement ceremony.
According to US Weekly, the former wife of Tiger Woods graduated with a whopping 3.96 GPA and completed her degree over the course of the past nine years.
"When I entered my student advisor office in the fall of 2005, I was 25 years old, I had just recently moved to America, I was married without children," she said. " Today, nine years later, I'm a proud American, and I have two beautiful children—but I'm no longer married."
She paused with a quick laugh, which was met by roaring applause from the crowd.
Nordegren also called out the media for criticizing her during the time she separated from her husband. "I've been called a woman with no words in the media, and criticized for not talking too much," she said. But that couldn't be further from the truth.
