From her memorable movie roles to her head-turning looks on the red carpet season after season, Julianne Moore has long been one of our favorite actresses. As if the Hollywood accolades she's won over the years aren't enough — she has two Emmys, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award under her belt — the mother of two is also best-selling author, and her series of children's books, entitled "Freckleface Strawberry" (after Moore's childhood nickname) has captured the hearts of kids all over the world.

Moore can now add "developer" to her ever-expanding resume, since she just launched an app for iPhone and iPad to coincide with her books, called, "Freckle Face Strawberry's Monster Maker." This game is probably just as addictive as it sounds — you can create your own cute, cuddly monsters and share them with your friends over social media. If you're a fan of Moore's and live in New York City, she'll be swinging by the "Meet the Developer" event at the SoHo Apple Store on Thursday, May 2 to tell shoppers all about her new app.

We got the actress to share the iPhone apps that she can't get through her busy days without, exclusively for MC.com.

NYTimes Real Estate — I love this app since I am a little bit of a real estate junkie. You can search for properties anywhere in the NYC area, or find nearby open houses. I just always like to look!

Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker by My Fitness Pal — A makeup artist in Vancouver recommended this app to me. You can track what you ate, and how much you exercised, etc.. When I get bored waiting on a set, I can obsessively track my calorie intake.

Adobe Reader — I download my scripts onto this app, then I always have them on my iPad to read on the go.

Pandora — I'd never listen to music if it weren't for Pandora!

NOOK — I have a bunch of books downloaded; it is great, especially because I try not to travel with too many devices or piles of books.

AroundMe — AroundMe helps you find whatever you need, wherever you happen to be. If you are looking for a restaurant, a drug store, parking lot, you just plug in your location and it shows you whatever is "around you."

Fandango — Fandango allows you to make movie plans quickly and easily, at the spontaneous drop of a hat!
