A First Look at the Final Season of 'Downton Abbey'

Still not ready to say goodbye. 😢

While it may be true that all good things must come to an end, what about all great things? Sadly (for loyal Downton Abbey fans), the rule still applies.

In the first trailer for the sixth and final season of everyone's favorite period drama, we see Robert Crawley and crew prepare to close up shop. While the minute-long preview doesn't give much away in terms of plot, it appears as though some of our burning questions—a few leftover from the last five seasons—will finally be answered.

First, why is Anna happy? Because we think this might be the first time we've ever seen her smile. Also, does Lady Edith find love at last? We're pretty sure that's a potential male suitor she's with. And is Daisy about to buy a home of her own? That's definitely what it looks like. More importantly, is there a Downton wedding being planned?! Fingers crossed, people. Fingers crossed.

All will be figured out when season six of Downton Abbey premieres in the U.S. January 3, 2016 on PBS.
