The First Trailer for the 'Grey's Anatomy' Spin-Off Is Here

Let the crossovers begin.

As if season 14 of Grey's Anatomy wasn't giving us enough drama, the first trailer for the show's upcoming spin-off has arrived—and boy, are things intense.

The brand new series, which is definitely called Station 19 and not Seattle Fire as previously thought, has dropped its first official trailer ahead of its launch on ABC next month.

The spin-off drama will follow a crew of firefighters down the road from Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, and by the looks of our first glimpse, it's going to include plenty of what we've come to know and love from Grey's: high drama, lots of tears, romance and Ellen Pompeo.

Oh, and there's bonus puppy content, too.

Dr Meredith Grey isn't the only familiar Grey's face fans will be seeing in Station 19, though, as Dr Ben Warren is switching allegiance to become a series regular for the new show.

Jason George will still be appearing full-time on Grey's Anatomy as season 14 continues, but will be lending his services to its spin-off for good after that.

Among a number of cast shake-ups in the Grey's universe, there is, however, one constant we can thankfully still rely on: Meredith Grey.

Series creator Shonda Rhimes recently confirmed that the series will keep on going as long as Pompeo wants to be a part of it, revealing that she and Ellen have "a pact."

"I'm going to do the show as long as she's going to do the show," she admitted. "So the show will exist as long as both of us want to do it. If she wants to stop, we're stopping."

Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC in the US and on Sky Living in the UK. Its spin-off Station 19 will premiere on ABC on Thursday, March 22.
