Selena Gomez Just Confirmed '13 Reasons Why' Season 2

She shared the news on Instagram.

This morning, Selena Gomez broke some exciting news on her Instagram: The rumors are true; 13 Reasons Why season 2 is happening. She posted a teaser to her page, writing "their story isn't over."

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news itself in an article published this morning, reporting the season will be another set of 13 hour-long episodes that'll come out in 2018. Showrunner Brian Yorkey will return to helm the new season. Netflix's description of the season is that it "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery."

It hasn't been definitively confirmed that Katherine Langford (who plays Hannah Baker) will be back, though it's been strongly hinted. "Hannah's story is still very much not finished," Yorkey toldThe Hollywood Reporter in an interview published May 2. "She's an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she's very much still at the center of it."
