'Girlboss' Has Just Been Cancelled By Netflix

The series, which is based on Sophia Amoruso's life, won't return for a second season.

Netflix just announced another cancellation, and fans of Nasty Gal and Sophia Amoruso aren't going to be happy. Netflix's original series Girlboss has been cancelled after just one season, following the brutal cancellations of Sense8 and The Get Down.

Just Jared report that Amoruso wrote in her Instagram story, "While I'm proud of the work we did, I'm looking forward to controlling my narrative from here on out."

She also wrote, "It was a good show, and I was privileged to work with incredible talent, but living my life as a caricature was hard even if only for two months." Clearly, Amoruso wasn't totally happy with the way her story translated to the screen, but the cancellation doesn't mean she's giving up.

Amoruso continued, "It will be nice to someday tell the story of what's happened in the last few years."

The cancellation of Girlboss proves that Netflix is moving in a new direction, and is committed to making content that viewers want to devour instantly.
