Preen by Thornton Bregazzi kicked started Day 3 of #LFW bringing about much needed brightness to an otherwise grey and wet day. Hues of sky blue and milky white drifted down the runway, reminiscent of spring skies with bright pops of banana yellow and neon pink to alert our senses. Geometric, patchworked shapes mingled with peplum and box cut quarter-length sleeve tops, while the hems of skirts and cocktail dresses were cut to give Betty Rubble a run for her pebbles. This was a collection that did not forget about those chillier spring days either, providing light weight, wind breaker-esque jackets attached to the shoulders of dresses like swooping parachutes. Preen took the nylon fabrication a step further by incorporating the sportive fabric into spaghetti strapped, peekaboo dresses. It is fair to say that for their second spring 2014 RTW collection in London, Preen did not disappoint. Silhouettes did not stray too far away from their last spring rendition, Preen offered its customer continuity through a playful and extremely colorful narrative reminding us that warmer days will return.
