When nature calls, Missoni answers. This season Angela Missoni drew upon landscapes when developing the groundwork for her most recent collection. Cleverly enough, the house inspired from their iconic zig-zag motif found yet another way to transpire the pattern into another realm of designs. From the birds fluttering on sleeves and waves billowing on the bottom of dresses to the mountain tops immaculately drawn on calf length pencil skirts, everything played its part here, even down to the cries of a rooster heard playing in the background. The silhouettes stirred up images of swathed Maasai tribe attire whilst tones of purple, oranges and deep teal conveyed earth, water and fire. Staying focused on Mother Nature and the Motherland models had tassel hair decorations in their ponytails a fitting and non-fussy accessory choice to a refreshing narrative.
