Olivia Pope taught us that grey is the unofficial hue of power dressing, and now Kate Middleton has jumped on the bandwagon — twice in one day, no less.

The royal couple spent the latest day of their Australian tour visiting the iconic Ayers Rock landmark, where they walked around the grounds and visited the National Indigenous Training Academy. Middleton wore a grey sleeveless Roksanda Illincic sheath dress, which she paired with a matching waist belt and L.K. Bennett nude pumps.

Prince William wore a khaki outfit that was reminiscent of his father Prince Charles' ensemble on he and Princess Diana's trip to Ayers Rocks in 1983.

Later that afternoon, Middleton slipped on a recycled grey and white Hobbs dress (she wore it while playing ping pong at a visit to Bacon's College in 2012) and wedges to watch traditional dances at the Cultural Center. She ended up topping off her look with a beaded necklace gifted to her by a local artisan.
