From Steve McQueen to Amelia Earhart, daredevils have long loved Belstaff. But Martin Cooper, the label's new chief creative officer, has his sights on the sartorially adventurous. For his debut collection, the 16-year veteran of Burberry reinvents Belstaff classics like the Trailmaster jacket in ultra-luxurious finishes. If the masculine vibe is at all overwhelming, take note: "Much of classic British dressing for women was borrowed from a man's wardrobe," Cooper says. "What's right for the guy is always right for the girl!"
