I have always loved Coco Rocha as a top model in the industry, but who knew she could also design?! I just came across this awesome collection of jewelry she created for charitable organization Senhoa. The line, Coco Rocha for Senhoa, is comprised of seven pieces made of Swarovski crystals and metals draped and chained.
It has a pretty rock 'n' roll aesthetic, but some pieces — like the ones above — have an edgy elegance that totally embodies Coco's own style. Each piece is handcrafted by survivors of exploitation in Cambodia: these artisans are taught how to make jewelry so that they can in turn support themselves and their families.
Proceeds of each sale go directly to Senhoa's community development projects, which provide income-generating opportunities and aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of young women in Southeast Asia.
