Mary J. Blige’s Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN) is the latest benefactor of Frida Giannini’s charitable ways. The Gucci creative director has designed a limited edition version of its innovative Twirl watch to benefit the Grammy Award-winning singer’s organization. The special Gucci for FFAWN timepiece, priced at $1,859, is cast in a sleek black PVD bracelet adorned with the signature double-G motif and a monochrome dial while its rotating case features black diamonds. To ensure bang for the buck, the watch, which is engraved with the words “Gucci for FFAWN,” turns on itself to allow the wearer the ability to alternate between a bracelet and timepiece. On September 16, Gucci will donate a percentage of the day’s sales of the watch at its Fifth Avenue flagship to FFAWN, as well as sales of the timepiece in Gucci stores and select department and specialty stores in the United States and Canada.
