Joanna Coles to Mentor Project Runway All Stars!

Step aside, Tim Gunn. Marie Claire's editor-in-chief Joanna Coles is taking over.

That's right: Our lips have been sealed for far too long, but now we can finally announce that our beloved editrix is going to serve as the mentor for the upcoming Project Runway All Stars, Lifetime's latest spinoff of the hit show that brings some of the most popular designers from seasons past back into the workroom.

And Joanna's in good company, too. Model Angela Lindvall will host the show and designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman will serve as judges. (If one thing is certain, we can surely count on getting some Kors-esque one-liners from Mizrahi.)

So, which past competitors will be making a comeback? Of the 13 total contestants, we're most looking forward to seeing Season 8 runner-up Mondo Guerra, who many of us around the office vehemently believe should have won out over Gretchen Jones.

Here's the full list of designers:

  • Austin Scarlett
  • Kara Janx (Season 2)
  • Elisa Jimenez (Season 4)
  • Rami Kashou (Season 4)
  • Kathleen Vaughn a.k.a. Sweet P (Season 4)
  • Kenley Collins (Season 5)
  • Jerell Scott (Season 5)
  • Gordana Gehlhausen (Season 6)
  • Mila Hermanovski (Season 7)
  • Anthony Williams (Season 7)
  • Michael Costello (Season 8)
  • Mondo Guerra (Season 8)
  • April Johnston (Season 8)

Whoever comes out on top stands to win lots of cash, but what makes us most excited is that the winner will have a one-year assignment as a guest editor for Marie Claire. They just better make nice with Joanna!

We'll keep you posted on when the season premieres!
