Blogger Camille Charrière stole our hearts in a completely organic way. We discovered her on Instagram (@camtyox), stalked her blog for a few days, and then decided we couldn't go any longer without knowing what her must-haves were for fall.
Originally from Paris (she's half British), Charrière launched her popular blog Camille Over The Rainbow shortly after moving to London, and describes her style as a bit of a French girl cliché. "My style, in my mind, is effortless and laid-back with a slight grungy edge —helped by the fact I never brush my hair and always look slightly disheveled. It’s not particularly trend-led, even though I always inject a few new season pieces here and there to keep it current." She also cites some of our favorite cool girls as style inspirations, and we can see the connection. Charrière mixes luxury accessories with staples from stores such as H&M, Zara, and Topshop, and always manages to pull off a chic/cool girl combination. "I'm a big fan of Elin Kling, who nails the effortless vibe without ever putting a foot wrong. Caroline de Maigret is just too cool for school with her French cool girl attitude and I also really love Freja Beha's off duty look," she revealed to us.
So what will this stylish trendsetter be wearing this fall? "Despite being very much of a monochrome babe, I am really into pink this season, specifically by way of boxy, oversized coats. I also will be wearing a riot of tartan and glossy leather to channel the punk attitude that made a comeback this fall. Other than that, it will be the usual favorites: lots of denim, tomboy knits and easy booties."
And just so that we could gain as much of her style advice as possible, we asked Camille to share her top shopping picks for the season ahead. Ladies, get ready to shop."Courtesy of Amar Daved & Camille Charrière"
