British designer Misha Nonoo isn't just funny, easy to talk to or absolutely gorgeous, she's also immensely talented. After a stint at business school in Paris, "it was tough but I learnt a lot about style and business, plus improved my French!" Nonoo launched her line in New York. Her s/s 2014 collection was one of her finest yet—and the first time she presented on a runway (covered in greenery and flowers, nonetheless)—and, one of our favorites from New York Fashion Week. We stopped by the designer's Soho studio and chatted inspiration, style, and how every girl needs the chiffon pants and mohair sweater from her spring/summer 2014 line. Photos by Kathryn Wirsing.

"There are a few signatures in the Nonoo line; a great dress, beautiful skirt, a floaty blouse. I love to create clothes that fit every girl's life. We're all busy, running from work to dinner or drinks, and our clothes should be accomodating to that."

"For the s/s 2014 collection I was inspired by artist Gerhard Richter's work. I loved the patterns in his painting and wanted to design something that was incredibly feminine, but still strong. A strong woman doesn't have to wear suits to be powerful."

"The Nonoo women is timeless. She knows what she wants, and she's happy enough in her own skin to wear something beautiful yet still feel like a strong woman. I love these hats, and the shoes are a collaboration with Manolo Blahnik featuring one of our prints."

"Nonoo is about creating beautiful things to have beautiful experiences in. It's a celebration of women and fashion, and I'm always looking at the women who inspire me to inspire the label."
