The unofficial start to New York Fashion Week was most definitely the Fendi O' party Wednesday night at the Boom Boom Room at The Standard. And boy was it a fun one.

The Fendi O' music series was founded in the idea "The unwavering support of creativity provides fuel for the future." (Past performances have featured Duran Duran, Beth Ditto, Amy Winehouse and Kanye West.) I was super psyched to see the night's guests Lykke Li (one of my current obsessions) and DJs James Murphy from LCD Soundsystem and Paul Sevigny. This old lady even stayed out past her bedtime for the midnight performance. And it was amazing...especially from my thisclose to the stage spot!

The crowd did not disappoint either. Even though rain was POURING down, chicsters waited in line to get up to the amazing room on the 18th floor of the hotel. Bold face names and models (making me feel incredibly short in my rain-worthy flat boots). I spotted our own Amanda Hearst, Elettra Wiedemann, Brad Goreski, the Ronson twins, Lindsey Wixson and photographer Terry Richardson within mere minutes of walking in. A true sign that New York City is back in the party business after summer.

Wonder if any other party this week can top Fendi's...it's going to be tough!"
