Last week, I popped up to Toronto for a night to see how our neighbors to the north put on a fashion show. I've been a fan of the Mackage's outerwear for quite a while and the design duo of Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan (they're also childhood bests!) did not disappoint for F/W 2012. I'm not sure there was a coat in the collection that I didn't covet. Love the fitted puffers and the tailored pea coats with a hint of fur around the neck.
The collection was inspired by the baroque paintings of Francesco Furini. And they were definitely on trend with all the navy, burgundy and black sprinkled throughout. And the skinny leather pants? Obsessed. Let's just say I'll be using those as "thinspiration" every time I hop on a bike at SoulCycle. We'll just have to forget about the mini-candy apples and cotton candy I snacked on at the circus-themed after party.
All in all, well done Toronto and Mackage. Can't wait to come back next season for more!
