Dressed to Thrill: Lena Dunham in Saint Laurent

When we first heard that Lena Dunham stepped out in a piece from the latest Saint Laurent collection at last night's 2013 Time 100 Gala, we'll admit we were a bit nervous. After all, Hedi Slimane's grunge-chic takeover of the formerly elegant YSL label was a Fashion Month standout for all the wrong reasons. While we were aware that the Saint Laurent brand has since garnered a number of followers, we had no idea Lena Dunham was one of them.

We really do love what the Girls icon did with this dress that originally came down the runway paired with fishnets and flannel. In fact, she treated it as quite the feminine number, accessorizing with classic Saint Laurent pumps, Forevermark earrings, and minimal matte makeup. Her curves looked fabulous thanks to the dress' flouncy skirt, and its plunging deep-v neckline didn't disappoint, either. The ensemble proved to be a feminine and flirty diamond in the rough in collection's otherwise over-the-top '90s-inspired vibe, and we think Lena rocked it perfectly.
