It's a rare occurrence for us to stay out late on a Tuesday night, but we made a huge exception for Intermix's 20th Anniversary bash last night at the New Museum. The retailer wasn't just celebrating a birthday, it had another important milestone to fete — its brand new store on the Bowery opened its doors this week. Intermix pulled out all of the stops at this party — not only were guests treated to free-flowing Pampelonne Rosé Lime all night and a sweeping view of downtown Manhattan from a rooftop patio, they got down to a private performance by none other than Solange Knowles. We happily obliged when the songstress asked that we turn the venue into a "high school grind-fest" in the middle of her set, which included her soon-to-be summer classics "Losing You" and "Don't Let Me Down," and the only thing that made us smile more than her impressive dance moves was the amazing jumpsuit that she wore for the occasion. The red look from the Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2013 collection was as funky and playful as Solange's live performance, which we suggest you see immediately as soon as she comes to your town.
