After Angelina Jolie bravely wrote a The New York Times column last month about her choice to undergo a preventative double mastectomy, we've been anxiously awaiting the actress' first public appearance since her surgery. Last night was the night, with Angie walking the red carpet wearing custom Saint Laurent alongside hubby Brad Pitt at his London premiere of World War Z. She looked absolutely flawless, of course, but this time she radiated something much more than her inner and outer beauty; we smiled at her confidence and strength, which Hedi Slimane's polished gown only accentuated. Just as last night was a milestone in Angie's storied red carpet history, this charcoal-toned gown — and the woman in it — is a further legitimatization of a once hotly debated label. We're excited to see what other custom creations Saint Laurent produces for future red carpet events, and further, we're thrilled to have seen Ms. Jolie looking so incandescent — a vision, in all senses of the word.
