After six years, designer Jen Kao is closing her ready-to-wear line. According to Women's Wear Daily, the 32-year-old is taking leave of absence due to health reasons.

Since the launch of her collection in 2007, Kao's designs have been known for their streetwear flair with an uptown polish. Her collection has been sold in stores like OWEN NYC and Satine in Los Angeles. Additionally, her line has been sold on Shopbop and The Feathered.

In 2011, the designer became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
