There have been speculation and rumors about Victoria's Secret and Miranda Kerr cutting ties for months. But now it's time we put those rumors to rest! On Wednesday nights launch of Stuart Weitzman's shoe line for Gilt, the supermodel explained that although she will not be walking in this year's show, it was not because she wasn't asked.
"They asked me to walk in the show, and I really wanted to, but I have to be in Asia that week," said Kerr, "When I spoke to Ed [Razek, President and Chief Marketing Officer of Victoria's Secret] he was like 'I'm really upset that you can't be here!' but I've got another contract and commitment at the same time." It's no wonder he was so upset, Kerr has walked every show but one (when she gave birth to Flynn) since 2007 when she was named an Angel.
So what is that prior commitment that's stealing Kerr away? It's her beauty line, Kora Organics. The line is expanding at accelerating rates, and is now available in over 400 stores in Australia along with a growing online presence including the launch of their own site and a partnership with Net-a-Porter.
"It's incredible," Kerr stated proudly, "It's my baby. I really put my heart and soul into it."
