Is it me, or is Gwyneth Paltrow always at least three steps ahead of the trend curve? Just when I think I’m on to her, she shows up to the Oscars in the most sophisticated, jaw-dropping white dress — with a CAPE — and subtle, bronze makeup. Anyone else would’ve smoked out her eyes or donned a red lip, but not Gwynnie. She’s one of kind.
Of course, Mrs. Coldplay can’t take all the credit. Her NARS makeup artist, Leslie Lopez, created the sun-kissed, almost monochromatic look, which I will be copying as soon as the weather warms up. Here’s how it’s done:
Face: NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30/PA+++ (just out and it’s amazing), with Super Orgasm Illuminator patted onto the apples of the cheeks.
Eyes: The champagne side of NARS Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow applied on the eyelid for a pop of gold, followed by Maybelline brown liquid eyeliner along the lash line and NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.
Lips: NARS Odalisque Larger Than Life Lip Gloss, a creamy peach shade.
