The Best Natural Lipstick Ever — Really!

The Best Natural Lipstick Ever — Really!

I know that Earth Day was April 22, but can't we just make a global admission that it should be year-round? Not a day goes by that I don't marvel at how easy it has become to embrace the whole natural beauty thing without sacrificing performance. Sulfate-free shampoo? Check. Chemical-free sunscreen? Check. Synthetic-free skincare? Check. All-natural makeup? Um, not so much.

In fact, most of the earth-friendly makeup I've tried is as goopy and stay-put as Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. (Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't bow down to the pink and green tube)?! There is one product, however, that makes me believe there’s hope yet for natural cosmetics: ILIA lipstick.

I mean it in the best possible way when I say that you'd never guess this line was natural — 85 percent certified organic to be exact. For starters, the matte silver tubes scream refined luxury. The color offerings are so flattering, so of-the-moment that you will want for nothing after you scoop up a perfect peachy nude or creamy fuchsia. But it's the highly pigmented, beautifully-textured formula that finally convinced me that natural cosmetics and brilliance need not be mutually exclusive.
