With summer knocking on our doors, the moment to look bronzed and beach-ready has arrived. It's time to ditch the pale-shade foundations and kick your glow up a gear — but we don't suggest excessive tanning. Stay safe, go faux, and give these goodies a whirl.
If you're looking to add some color to your face, and to warm up your skin whilst still looking natural, my go-to bronzers are the cream-based Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base ($48) and NARS Bronzer Powder in Laguna ($34). Both instantly lift up the skin and give you a "just back from Monaco" glow. Applied where your face naturally catches the sun (temples, cheekbones, and nose), they'll flush your complexion to perfection.
Want to experiment with sunless tanning? Although self-tanners can seem daunting, when applied correctly, they leave you with a believable, olive glow — all without a UV ray in sight! My favorite is Xen Tan Dark Lotion Absolute Luxe ($56). Smooth on a layer before bed, and you'll awaken as a bronzed goddess.
