MY VISION
"I'm captivated by the extravagantly dressed new-moneyed Russian women I see on Paris's Avenue Montaigne -- and suddenly my Blumarine fall collection is all fur, sequins, and rosettes." (Molinari also designs the ultra-girly Blugirl, while her daughter, Rossella, does the moodier Anna Molinari.)

MY PRIZED POSSESSIONS
"I got my first tattoo at 16. I've got roses all over my body; I'm not called 'Queen of the Roses' for nothing. As a child I tottered around in my mother's jewelry, and today I treasure my rings -- my diamond Cartier and the family-crest signets my late husband gave me. He was a count."

MY ANGELS
"My dream girls are Sharon Stone, always, the society beauties in [turn-of-the-century painter] Giovanni Boldini's portraits, and my 8-year-old granddaughter, who has declared herself the designer of the future!"

MY OBSESSIONS
"Never stop looking -- at museums, new movies. Never stop educating yourself. In 2004 I received a bachelor's degree 'ad honorem' in the history of arts from the University of Urbino. And never stop smiling. Which brings me to my favorite pasta: Voiello spaghetti from southern Italy, served Mediterranean-style with vegetables or fish, as I don't eat meat."
