1 Vest, 3 Ways
By Eileen Conlan
"The vest takes the look to a higher level: It's not just a girl in a dress, but a girl who can dress!"

THE LOOK: Old-world glam
HER CONCEPT: "I took a vintage-looking floral dress and made it this-season with a statement vest and fantastic accessories," explains Dania. What is fashion if not reinvention?
ON THE VEST: "It can transform any outfit, whether tailored or ultra-feminine. The belt creates a waist and another interesting layer."
GOOD FOR: "A pulled-together look for the office — the potentially loud print is somewhat muffled — and it can easily work out on the town. Even if your girlfriend buys the same dress, she probably wouldn't style it like this — and you'll stand out in yours."
GO-WITHS: "I love how muted and earthy florals are this fall, and the vest and belt enhance the already artsy shape of the dress. I chose the brown booties because I wanted something unpredictable and to offset the other colors."
THE DETAILS: "A skinny belt tied high on the waist will cinch you and hide any problem areas," explains Dania. "And there's something a little sexy about it."
HAIR AND MAKEUP: "The colorful lip and eyeliner complete this glam look. This girl's not afraid to come on strong!"
DANIA'S STYLE TIPS
- Invest in accessories — they will reinvent your wardrobe this season and next.
- Matchy-matchy gets monotonous; experiment by mixing different colors and textures.
- Look back in time for references — vintage-inspired is the key to originality.
