"Sauvignon Blanc goes perfectly with a tart sorbet because of the lemon-lime zest flavor profile of the wine," says Viviani. Enough said.

Try: Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc

"Merlot is more juicy and jammy, so I'd pair with a fruit-based ice cream," advises Viviani. 

Try: 2012 Duckhorn Vineyards Merlot 

If a chardonnay pairs perfectly with buttered popcorn, you can bet your ass a buttery, creamy chardonnay goes great with butter pecan ice cream.
