If you're obsessed with Starbucks' breakfast sandwiches, prepare to swoon over the coffee chain's latest innovation: Sous Vide Egg Bites. Think of an Egg Bite as your favorite breakfast sandwich stuffed into an egg ball — without the carbs. And it's delicious.

The Sous Vide Egg Bites come in two variations: Bacon and Gruyère, and Egg White and Roasted Pepper. The bites are similar in size to Bantam Bagels.

If the Bacon, Gouda, and Egg sandwich is your current breakfast jam at Starbucks, you're going to love the Bacon and Gruyère Egg Bite. Starbucks describes it as "salty, hearty, and has a nutty flavor from the gruyère." I gave this an early taste test and, as a lover of bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, I was super impressed. It wasn't greasy, and had the perfect bacon-to-egg ratio.

If you're more of a Spinach Feta Wrap person, you need to give the Egg White and Roasted Pepper Egg Bite a try. I usually makes egg whites for breakfast and this might replace that (because I'm lazy and this is tasty). In this bite you'll find egg whites with Monterey cheese and pepper. Starbucks describes it as a "healthier vegetarian option."

You might be thinking, This sounds great, but what is sous vide? (Same). It's a method where food gets put in a vacuum-sealed plastic pouch and placed in a water bath. The purpose is to cook the food evenly, making sure the inside is properly cooked without overcooking the outside. A Starbucks representative told Cosmopolitan.com that the sous vide method helps ensure the Egg Bites taste delicious and the same at every Starbucks you go to.

The Egg Bites will be available nationwide on Jan. 10. They will be sold in packs of two, for about $5.
