"I wanted the look of liquid gold on the eyes. Start with a wash of gold shadow all over the lids, then go back and give it depth with a taupe shadow and a little black mascara," says Lancôme's artistic director Aaron De Mey, who worked with model Daria Webowy. "Bronzer underneath the cheekbones gives a beachy feel."
ON MODEL DARIA WERBOWY: Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in 24 Karat, Color Design Eye Shadow in Waif, and Star Bronzer Poudre Sôleil in Bronze Riche.

Light It Up
"Silver highlights on the outer and inner corners keep dark eyes illuminated," explains De Mey of his smoky effect. "Keep the cheeks free of color and add a rosy stain on the lips to make the look more romantic, less severe."
ON DARIA: Lancôme Ombre Absolue Quad in Les Gris L'Wren and L'Absolu Crème de Brilliance in Le Rouge L'Wren.

Strike It Rich
"When using a light eyeshadow, always start with black eyeliner as a base," says De Mey. "It anchors the color so it doesn't feel like it's sitting on top of the skin. The more layers, the more sophisticated it is."
ON DARIA: Lancôme Color Design Eye Shadow in Mademoiselle Chic, Le Crayon Khôl Eyeliner in Black Ebony, and Color Design Lipcolor in Strike a Pose.
