Wrinkle Prevention

A: Physiologically, for most women, it's between 25 and 30 that your skin first starts noticeably aging. That's when your hormone balance begins to shift and you start losing collagen. Depressing, I knowI'm feeling it now. The sunscreen is a great start (well done!), but in addition to that, I recommend using a serum or lotion with an active, such as an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) or vitamins A or C. It'll just help smooth your skin out, prevent spots and lines, and make pores tighter. Start out twice a week at night, and increase up to three or four times if your skin doesn't get irritated. Great options include: DDF-Doctor's Dermatologic Formula Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Moisturizer and Ole Henriksen Re-Start Anti-Aging Serum. As for eye creams, some nice, light ones that help prevent lines include Dr. Brandt Skincare Lineless Eye Cream and Neutrogena Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Eye Cream. Look for ones in tubes or pumpsthey're generally less rich than the ones in pots (unless they say "gel" on the label).
