From the company that brought you the scents of Play-Doh, Hershey’s Kisses, and Jelly Belly comes the next pop-culture-icon-turned-fragrance moment: Sanrio Anniversary Collection of Fragrances.
That’s right, Hello Kitty lovers of the world. (And apparently, there are bazillions of you.) To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sanrio, Demeter recently launched the scents Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars.
Hello Kitty smells like straight-up apples so if you like to smell like juicy fruit, this one’s for you. My Melody is a sweet combo of almond and vanilla, which conjures up images of pound cake (which die-hard fans know is My Melody’s favorite food, BTW). Little Twin Stars is a light, citrusy scent that would be a cute gift for your young niece. (Check out their site for more info like where to buy.)
Demeter plans on adding more Sanrio characters to the collection for Holiday 2010, including Keroppi the frog — a personal favorite of mine — so check back then if your fave isn’t fragrance-ized yet.
